Today our membership encompasses over 1,000 organizations statewide. Together with more than 50,000 caregivers, our members serve 63,000 older adults every day in all of the places they call home, including home care and services, independent senior housing, assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities.

Minnesota Legislature Increases Long Term Care Funding

The 2013 legislative session gaveled to a close as the clock approached midnight on Monday, May 20. The session was marked by enormous challenges including an initial $1 billion state budget deficit and $150 million cut to Health and Human services spending. The grassroots advocacy of our members, a well-timed rally, consistent messaging and the ongoing support of a bipartisan group of lawmakers who identified investments in senior care as a top priority helped deliver needed investments to address the current caregiving crisis.
