Mary Youle is the Vice President for Housing and Community Services for Aging Services of Minnesota. Since 1985, in her position at the association, she has provided technical assistance to housing, home care and other community-based services providers. In her work on public policy and regulation for Aging Services, she has been actively involved in the development of home care licensing requirements, the Housing-with-Services Contract Act, and Minnesota’s 2006 Assisted Living law. She also works on other senior housing and HCBS issues that are a focus include Medical Assistance waiver services, Group Residential Housing, licensing, fair housing, landlord-tenant law, and Confident Choices for Senior Living.
Prior to coming to Aging Services, Mary worked for about seven years for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, first at the Washington, D.C. headquarters office and then for the Minnesota HUD office.
Mary has a Masters of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from the University of Kansas.
