Flood News

During the flood emergency, the Office of Emergency Preparedness of the Minnesota Department of Health has asked Aging Services to compile a daily count of members' available care center beds. We have developed a web tool to make this process as efficient and easy as possible.

We are asking all members to comply with this MDH request by using this tool to show bed availability daily, including Saturday and Sunday until further notice. Please identify someone in your facility to update your information on Saturday and Sunday as well as Monday through Friday of next week and forward this email to them.

The following information is needed:

Contact name
Contact phone
Number of empty available beds
Whether you accept residents with the following conditions (Yes/No for each one):

Dementia requiring supervision
Ventilators
IVs
Bariatric
Trachs

The government may provide a waiver to enable facilities to put into operation additional beds beyond their licensed capacities. One final question will be the number of additional beds you could put in operation under this waiver authority, if it is granted.

To access this information, Click
http://www.mhha-apps.com/surveys/emergsurvey.asp and also please forward this email to those you have designated. They should keep the email containing the link for use on subsequent days.

For today, we would like to have the information entered by 4 p.m. Starting tomorrow (Saturday), we would like to have the information entered by noon.
